( BPRW) The Power of Prayer

( BLACK PR WIRE) All of us long for the opportunity to bond with someone who can identify with our circumstances and share in our day-to-day life. That opportunity can be given to us through prayer – a personal experience and intimate connection with our loving Heavenly Father.

Many of us pray to bless a meal, to thank God for the birth of a loved one, to ask God to console us after the death of a loved one, to help us through our trials and tribulations, to intercede for others, and for other significant events in our lives. However, we should also pray to acknowledge God as our personal savior, confess our sins, pray that His will be done in our lives and that we are guided by the Holy Spirit, pray for spiritual understanding and wisdom, and pray to thank God for His many blessings in our lives.

Prayer may be done privately and individually, or it may be done corporately in the presence of fellow believers. Nevertheless, prayer should be incorporated into a daily thought life, in which one is in constant communication with God.

Hebrews 13:15 says “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” Isaiah 65:24 reassures us with “It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.”

The greatest quality of God is that He is a God of love. He loved us so much that He sent Jesus Christ, His only Son, so that we might have everlasting life (John 3:16). By His death and resurrection, Jesus paid for our salvation. God now imparts that life and confidence to all who receives His provision for their sin. God’s word says that whoever calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved.

So, let’s not underestimate prayer. God most definitely listens to our prayers, answers them, and moves in response. That’s the power of prayer!
