(BPRW) The Purpose Driven Mind
Thomas Edison is popularly known for the invention of the light bulb and also has 1093 US patents credited to his name, Albert Einstein is known for his theories of relativity, Ralph Waldo Emerson is known for his immense contribution to philosophy and Michelangelo is known for his art work, painting, sculpture and architecture. These are few examples of individuals who demonstrate the creative abilities of the mind. This creative ability is existent in every living person on earth, but it is only those who tap into it and develop it live to make an impressive contribution to their generation. You can be the next person to have your name indelibly written in the history books, it only requires that you become zealous with the opportunities available to your mind.
A purpose driven mind is one that is always motivated to acquiring knowledge. Written in Proverbs 20:15 are the words of King Solomon which says, “There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.” Simply put, people will pay lots of money to hear knowledge from the lips of experts, students pay high tuition cost to educate themselves for a bright future, and lastly, professionals in the science field are paid to benefit from their services which comes from their knowledge and experience.
These examples give us a reason to believe that knowledge is expensive and attaining it is one key factor to living a purposeful life. Now that we know the value of knowledge, it is important that we open a personal library and stock it with collections of books, journals and articles to constantly update ourselves to remain competitive in this global economy. If you check our leaders of today, you will find out that most of them have a solid background of reading.
People with a purpose driven mind are focused and forward thinkers. The future belongs to those who can plan ahead, envision how the future will be, examine its prospects and possibilities of maximizing the available resources at that time, as well as develop techniques to embrace it with faith and confidence. Every activity, product or service we see today was once a thought. It took individuals with faith and determination to clothe these thoughts with garments and transform them into reality. I believe they saw how their creative work will be of benefit to us in the years to come. We can apply this principle too by living our lives according to plan. This can be done by documenting our thoughts, ideas and philosophies in a journal, setting goals and timelines to achieve them and observing from individuals who have already taken those steps and apply their principles to our lives.
Conclusively, though we plan our ways and have big dreams, it is only the counsel and will of God that shall come to pass. Because of this, we should cultivate and nurture our plans and ideas in a womb of prayer, transplant them into the field of thanksgiving and if we do this, we shall joyfully reap a bountiful harvest of sweet success and lasting victories.
