On January 12, 2010, a catastrophic earthquake with a 7.0 magnitude devastated the Haitian Capitol and epicenter of Port Au Prince. Death and destruction is still immeasurable; however, the last count of victims bodies was approximately 170,000. This number rises daily. At least 250,000 homes are lost or destroyed, and 30,000 businesses. Carson Fatburger has put the American Red Cross on notice that they want the quake victims to know that help is on the way. Since then quakes have shaken other regions, and Carson Fatburger wants to help all.

(BLACK PR WIRE) (March 15, 2010) CARSON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Carson Fatburger has announced that it will hold a series of fund raising events to aid those in earthquake disaster areas who are still in need. Victor Egrably, General Manager of Carson Fatburger, has stated, As long as we have food, customers, and the ability to serve the community, our friends and neighbors can count on us to aid in the relief.

Fund raising events to be hosted at Carson Fatburger (which is believed to be the ONLY Fatburger Restaurant in California with a liquor license, and one of few in the United States) include: Have Lunch with Your Favorite Celebrity, which kicks off on selected Saturdays (from March 20, 2010 with Pastor Michael Fishers Project 2408 of Greater Zion Church); Friday Nights - Fatburger Live Karaoke (beginning March 19, 2010); and Gospel Sundays (beginning March 28, 2010). Each event will encourage community support and will assist in fund raising efforts. Committed celebrities include: Aundrae Russell, KJLH Radio 102.3; Hawthorne James, Actor Speed, Five Heartbeats, and Boss N Up; Sticky Fingaz and Fredro Starr, Onyx; Pop Star Brandon Kane; Rising Gospel Star Yolanda Harris; Celebrity Drummer Ricky Lawson; and so many more. From now until April 15, 2010, anyone who comes into Carson Fatburger and mentions Relief when ordering will have 5% of their receipt total donated to the American Red Cross/Carson Fatburger International Response Fund.
