(BPRW) MIAMI-DADE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PRESENTS BUSINESS EMPOWERMENT NETWORKING SERIES

- Business Development: Expanding Your Financial & Economic Growth Opportunities Friday March 26th, 2010 -

(BLACK PR WIRE) MIAMI, FL (March 12, 2010) - The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce presents its latest Business Empowerment Networking Series (BENS) installment, Business Development: Expanding your Financial & Economic Growth Opportunities. The session will be held at Parrot Jungle on Friday, March 26, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This networking series will feature a panel discussion on how to expand financial and economic growth to businesses that will include prominent business leaders in Miami-Dade County.

The luncheon will feature keynote speaker, Bernadette Morris, CEO/President of Sonshine Communications, Inc., a full-service Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations firm. Morris is the owner of Black PR Wire, America’s first and largest black news media distribution service. She has had over 25 years of experience in the communications arena. Morris was previously the Associate Dean and Public Affairs Director for Miami-Dade College, a children’s programming producer and a writer and producer with PBS/NPR affiliates.

The panelists attending are Miami-Dade County School Board Superintendent, Alberto M. Carvalho; Dr. Rose Barefield-Cox, Office of Compliance and Business Services; Miami-Dade County Small Business Development Office, Director, Penelope Townsley; City of Miami Gardens Economic Development Director, Antranette Pierre.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the small businesses in the South Florida community to dialogue with individuals representing organizations that can assist them through the certification and procurement process, which is often tedious, and can lead to miscommunication between the small business and the organization”, commented Bill Diggs, President, Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce. “Our Business Empowerment Networking Series will bridge the gap and will provide information on economic development opportunities.”

The networking series is open to the public and is $20 for chamber members and $30 for non-members. Exhibition space for your business is also available for $30 for members and $40 for non-members; however, space is limited.

For more information and to register for the event, contact The Chamber at 305-751-8648. Event and information registration is also available at www.m-dcc.org. Media inquiries should be directed to Circle of One Marketing, 305-576-3790.
