(BPRW) P&G’s “My Black is Beautiful Day” Declared in Cincinnati and State of Ohio

(BLACK PR WIRE) (May 25, 2010) The State of Ohio and the City of Cincinnati declared May 21, 2010 as “My Black is Beautiful Day” to recognize Procter & Gamble for the significant contributions it has made in empowering African American women to embrace their beauty, health and wellness through the inspiring My Black is Beautiful (MBIB) initiative.

The initiative comprises a TV show broadcast Sundays on BET Networks; a multi-city interactive consumer event “P&G’s MBIB Live” with the TV show’s host, actress Tasha Smith and co-hosts singer Leela James, actress/comedian Kim Coles and television personality Alesha Renee; a Pop-up beauty salon where community members can receive complimentary makeovers, and sponsorship of the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans in July. The integrated, multibrand initiative is supported by Crest Pro-Health, Pantene, CoverGirl, Queen Collection, Olay, Secret and Always.
