(BPRW) The Day Of The Lord

(BLACK PR WIRE) -- Scripture references 2 Peter 3:8 – One day is as of a thousand years and a thousand years is a day in the eyes of the Lord. . . . .

While we are waiting for God’s time to manifest in our circumstances, we are to do three things . . . . .

1. SILENCE THE SCOFFERS – 2 Peter 3:3
a. Silence those (on the outside) that talk negatively and bleak about the situation. It’s all about the right attitude. People who lose their faith will ridicule you for having yours.
b. Silence those (on the inside – US). This means that we must have and attitude of FAITH and do not allow anyone or anything to steal our joy!

2. PREPARE THE PEOPLE – 2 Peter 3:10
a. God is delaying the blessing and we have to wait patiently for it.
b. We also have to be ready for it when it comes.

3. WORK THE VISION – 2 Peter 3:14
a. Standing firm does not mean that we are standing still – we have to work.
b. Do not sit back and wait – we have to fight. – Do what is needed to work the vision – God expects this of us.

KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER
*What we do (or do not do) may affect the decision in our blessing.
*Everyday is a day of the Lord.
*(Get rid of the bad “isms” in our lives – negativism, pessimisms.
