(BPRW) Miami-Dade Chamber Of Commerce Ready to Hit the Links at the 22nd Annual Dorothy Baker Golf Classic

- Brush up on your skills at the Young Professionals Network Miami beginner’s clinic -

(BLACK PR WIRE) – MIAMI – Corporate executives, business owners and entrepreneurs across South Florida are registering for one of the region’s top business events. Now for the 22nd year, the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce (M-DCC) will host their Dorothy Baker Golf Classic, a fun-filled day of competitive play for recreational to advanced golfers. The event will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012, at the County Club of Miami Golf Course: 6801 Miami Gardens Drive, Miami, and include a networking reception. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. and the tournament kicks off at 8 a.m. As one of the chamber’s signature annual events, dozens of civic and business leaders are expected to attend.

“Every year, this event gets bigger and bigger as more organizations sponsor players, course holes and our awards reception,” said Bill Diggs, president and CEO of the chamber. “It’s a great opportunity to talk business and network outside the office, and we welcome the entire professional community to participate.”

Less-experienced golfers are also invited to attend the classic and its Beginner’s Golf Clinic. Hosted by Young Professionals Network Miami, the clinic will be held alongside the tournament on Friday, June 8th, from 10 a.m. to noon. (Registration begins at 9 a.m.) The clinic costs $55 and includes an hour-and-a-half-long golf lesson, golf balls, club rental, lunch and the reception.

Through May 4 (Early-bird Registration), individual Baker classic players may register for $200, corporate foursomes for $900, or you may purchase a hole sponsorship for $150. After May 4 (Regular Registration), the cost will be $250, $1,000 and $250 for each, respectively. Proceeds with fund the chamber’s diverse programs including the Business Empowerment Networking Series Additional sponsorships are available for the driving range, towels, bags and networking reception.
