(BPRW) Jessie Trice Community Health Center, Reaves House Women's Residential Program Host 15th Annual Thanksgiving Festival

(Black PR Wire) In true tradition and holiday spirit, the Jessie Trice Community Health Center – Jefferson Reaves House Women’s Residential Program hosted its 15th Annual Thanksgiving Festival on Wednesday, November 18. The free annual festival included a luncheon, heath fair and clothing giveaway.

“We are truly blessed to be able to host our 15th Thanksgiving Festival this year,” says Annie Neasman, CEO of the Jessie Trice Community Health Center. “Thanksgiving is not only a time to reflect on all we have to be grateful for, but it is also a time to find ways to help our brothers and sisters in need.”

Gracious donors supplied turkey, ham, dressing, dessert and other delicacies for a pre-Thanksgiving meal for festival attendees. In addition, attendees also received health information from members of the JTCHC team and free clothes during a clothing giveaway.

Established in 1987, Jefferson Reaves House is a structured, comprehensive residential substance abuse treatment program for women, pregnant women and women with children up to the age of five. Special emphasis is placed on the prevention of births of substance exposed newborns.
