- $1,500 gift card among top prizes awarded-*

(Black PR Wire) MIAMI – The Coca-Cola Company has partnered with Florida’s DRIVE IT HOME … KEEP OUR PARADISE LITTER-FREE® campaign to present the 2016 DRIVE IT HOME Trash-Off Greek & Club RECYCLING Challenge. This Challenge is part of the Great American Clean-Up initiative and the state’s litter prevention education media campaign. This is your chance to show us how you will help keep Florida’s roadsides and communities litter-free.

“This is our second year rolling out this dynamic initiative,” says Bernadette Morris, CEO of Sonshine Communications and a member of the DRIVE IT HOME team. “We are delighted that Coca-Cola has partnered with us to help share the importance of litter-free roadsides and communities statewide.”

Using the DRIVE IT HOME ... KEEP OUR PARADISE LITTER-FREE® campaign theme, participants are encouraged to express how they will dispose of litter to their audience. Entries submitted must be original and authentic and show how each group will help keep Florida’s roadsides and communities litter-free. In addition, participants are encouraged to make a recycling pledge and demonstrate how they will implement a recycling program at their local school. Possible entries can include one (or more) of the following categories:

1. ARTISTIC EXPRESSION (i.e. PSA, commercial, artistic art piece, fashion piece, etc.)
2. CAMPUS/COMMUNITY ACTIVITY (i.e. photos of a trash wipe-out event on campus or community parks grounds, rallying a clean-up day around a lake, etc.)
3. POETRY AND PROSE (i.e. sharing the written word)
4. UNIQUE ART PIECE (i.e. poster, drawing, photography, trash-can decoration, art fashion exhibits, etc.)
5. VIDEO SHOWCASE (i.e. step show, dance, song, jingle, etc.)
6. OTHER CATEGORY – Entries that do not fit in any of the specified categories can be submitted and included in this section. Please do provide an overview of the entry submitted.

The top three submissions that receive the most authentic “likes” via Facebook will be selected as the winners. Prizes will be awarded in the name of the sorority, fraternity and/or social service club. Prizes include: $1,500* gift card for the first place winner, $1,000* gift card for the second place winner and $500* gift card for the third place winner. In addition, up to 12 gift cards worth $100* each will be awarded as honorable mentions. Deadline for submissions is Sunday, April 10, 2016 by 11:59 p.m.

Winning entries will be announced on the Clean FL Roads website and Facebook page on Earth Day (April 22, 2016). Winning entries will be on display throughout the state, and on the campaign’s social media sites.

To enter, participants must complete and submit the online entry form, available at www.CleanFLroads.com. The sooner contestants submit, the more social media likes they are likely to receive – so enter early!
