South Florida Artists Share Their Love for God Through Music, Dance, and Poetry

(Miami Gardens, FL) With the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners, Arts of Color Productions, Inc. (AOC) presents the premiere of the 2007 production “Change Is Coming” traveling tour. The tour will debut March 24th in honor of Women’s History Month at the Lou Rawls Performing Arts Theatre located on the Florida Memorial University campus at 15800 NW 42nd Ave at 7:00 P.M. This spectacular showcase features various south Florida artists whose talents run the gamut of spoken-word poetry, story-telling, music, film, hip-hop and liturgical dance. They have dedicated their art forms to inspire and bring about change in peoples lives.

AOC's president and founder, Maèva Renaud states "In life we all go through changes, mostly for the better. This production is here to remind us that change is good and the only way we can really change is if we, ourselves decide to do it."

In honor of Women’s History Month, a reception will take place prior to the show at 6:00p.m following the reception, the showcase will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. This showcase is FREE to to the public.

Arts of Color Productions, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) youth and young adults mentoring organization dedicated to educating the whole man (spirit, soul, and body) through multi-media and the performing arts. Our mission is to create multi-cultural programs that both nurture artists and exhibit a variety of artistic works and impart those artistic skills to the youth.

Our goal is to provide a venue for the arts with access for the widest public. We will provide a stage for artists traditionally under-represented in mainstream media and culture, promoting their work while building an audience and providing ongoing support for them as they grow. On such a platform, we will provide free multi-cultural programming to the whole of our community.
