Here are some tips to keep your children's oral health in top shape:

• Clean babies’ gums daily and begin brushing as soon as the first tooth appears
• Schedule your child’s first dental visit by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth erupting, whichever comes first
• Help your child brush twice a day until they develop strong brushing skills
• Ask your dentist about fluoride treatments and dental sealants to help prevent cavities
• Encourage daily flossing
• Visit a dental professional at least once per year, or more often as recommended
• Limit sugar intake and sugary drinks
• Encourage drinking water throughout the day
