(BPRW) Lasya, Incorporated Obtains Exclusive Rights to deoxyArbutin from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center

(BLACK PR WIRE)--CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lasya, Incorporated has announced the execution of an exclusive license to deoxyArbutin technology from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. deoxyArbutin (dA), a cosmetic ingredient, is covered by over 75 issued patents worldwide and has been demonstrated in numerous clinical studies to safely and effectively reduce the appearance of age spots, uneven pigmentation, and other skin imperfections.

Lasya, Inc. intends to launch its first product, Lanterna, a cosmetic cream containing 3% deoxyArbutin, by the end of 2011. “The timing of this product launch is favorable,” says Amanda Greatens, Chief of Sales and Marketing for Lasya, Inc., “given the recent scrutiny of other products used to enhance the appearance of skin complexion. We definitely have science and safety on our side.”

Marty Visscher, Ph.D., director of the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Skin Sciences program and Associate Professor of Surgery, has been involved with the development and commercial preparation of dA. Regarding the agreement Dr. Visscher says, “We are thrilled to have licensed this technology to Lasya, Inc., and are quite excited that they have been able to successfully formulate a stable and effective product in such a short time. We are confident that Lanterna and other Lasya products will be a tremendous success and be of value to those wanting to improve the appearance of skin pigmentation.”
