(BPRW) Jessie Trice Community Health System recognizes National Health Center Week: August 7-13

(Black PR Wire) Community health centers in the United States play a vital role in providing primary and preventive health services to the Community. National Health Center Week is recognized from August 7-13, 2022 to acknowledge the contributions of health centers. Each day of the week will be dedicated to a specific focus area, from public health in housing to children’s health. This year’s theme is “The Chemistry for Strong Communities.”

“Jessie Trice Community Health System (JTCHS) is delighted to have served and provided quality and affordable health care to the South Florida Community for more than 50 years,” said Annie Neasman, president and CEO of JTCHS. “JTCHS has a special place in the Community, and it’s a role we don’t take lightly. We will continue helping to bridge the gap in access to basic medical services, and hope many more residents turn to JTCHS for their healthcare needs .”

Each year, JTCHS recognizes and celebrates National Health Center Week. According to The National Association of Community Health Centers, health centers provide comprehensive care to 30 million patients, saving the health care system more than $24 billion annually in reduced emergency, hospital and specialty care costs.

The Jessie Trice Community Health System, Inc. is one of Miami-Dade County’s preeminent federally qualified community health care centers, governed by a remarkably dedicated Board of Directors (51% of which are users of the medical and dental services) and a diverse, incredibly talented, committed family of providers and staff.
