(BPRW) Urban American Outdoors Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Conference, Workshop, Gala, and More

Outdoor Trailblazers celebrating monumental achievement of 25 years in Conservation

(Black PR Wire) Urban American Outdoors (UAOTV), the pioneering African American-owned reality sports adventure TV show, is excited to announce its 25th Anniversary celebration, taking place on October 13-14, 2023. This milestone event will include a conference, workshop, gala, and a special meet-and-greet, bringing together leaders, experts, and enthusiasts in the fields of nature, environment, and conservation.

“I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to all of you for the upcoming Urban American Outdoors 25th Anniversary celebration on October 13-14, 2023. As the CEO of Urban American Outdoors (UAOTV), it is my distinct honor to invite you to this momentous event,” stated Candice Price.

The festivities will commence on Friday, October 13, 2023, with a meet-and-greet at the prestigious Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, located at 1616 E. 18th St., Kansas City, Missouri 64108, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the museum and witness the Kansas City premiere of the thought-provoking film, "A Legacy Lost and Found: Segregation in Recreation." The event will also feature the Brough Brothers, creators of an African American Kentucky bourbon, adding a unique touch to the evening.

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, the conference, and workshop will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Loews Kansas City Convention Center Hotel, located at 1515 Wyandotte St., Kansas City, Missouri 64108. This segment of the celebration will feature guest speakers, panelists, vendors, and leaders from organizations such as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Forest Service, NASA, and the National Wildlife Refuge Association, among others. Attendees can expect insightful presentations and discussions on topics including special uses, workforce development, DEI, water, climate, environmental justice, and more.

The highlight of the anniversary celebration will be the black-tie Gala, taking place on the same evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Buck O'Neil Education and Research Center, 1824 Paseo Kansas City, Missouri 64108. It promises to be an elegant affair filled with networking opportunities and memorable moments.

All proceeds from this event will support SODAS Life Inc., a public charity dedicated to engaging and educating under-served youth in preservation, conservation, and environmental skills.
